whitehead co. antrim (below the lighthouse)

People: me and junior

Duration:5 hrs

Tide: high to dropping

Weather: dry, cloudy little wind

Bait: feathers, squid and mack
Rigs: pennel

Results: one minnow of a pollock

Report: the wee man has been at me for the last week or so wanting to get his first mack of the year, so a trip to the rocks at whitehead was in order. we spoke to a guy fishing on the way round who had been there for a while with only a few small pollock to show for his efforts, but we cast out anyway to see what was what. on his 3rd or 4th cast jordan got a wee pollock and then nothing. i changed over to a pennel with mack and squid tight to the bottom to see if any doggies might take, but no luck   outfished by junior yet again
