Alright Lads,
Is the Ron Thompson Beach Buddy as good as the Daiwa version???? Theres a big price difference, with the RT one being 80euro and the Daiwa one being 180euro. Im asking the girlfriend for it for my birthday, and dont wanna go nuts asking for too much (well I wouldnt mind something else too!). Any help greatly appreciated as always.
Thanks
Cods!

I have been looking at beach shelters over the last few weeks and I will probably end up getting the Ron Thompson. Its good value for money and I cant see where the Daiwa has that much more to offer for the extra dosh.
I'm struggling with Floatation Suits at the moment. Cant make my mind up which one to get.
Good Luck
Dave

hey there. I have the RT beach buddy and it has yet to fail me. It is spot on for the price. I don't know anyone with the more expensive one.
I have had the rt one out in some fierce conditions and its kept me nice and dry. It might struggle with crazy wind conditions but I dont think I would be on the beach to be testing it out anyways.
Dave I have the Sundridge SAS mk 2 float suit and it is great for the price. It keeps ya nice and warm in cold conditions. I have yet to fall in to test the bouyancy of it (touch wood I never will) but it is nice and warm.
Its a bit warm yet to get the float suits out yet but it is definitely the time to get one because of the reduced prices in the summer. As per anything - I usually get the best I can afford.
Belfast Angling have alot of float suits/beach buddies in stock and usually have great deals on rivalling those of any internet site.

The Ron Thomson's are fine but it depends on how much use you give it, you'll get a couple of seasons out of them.
The john Holden in my mind is the pick of the lot, i still have the original one from when they came onto the market first and i can tell you i has taken some punishment over the years it must be nearly twenty years old now.
You get what you pay for and sometimes you are better paying for a quality product.
