tryed a few new spots nothing much few dabs for first few hours, decided to go to a ray mark that we fished last week, they were pretty solid there today, with 3 fish in first 5 mins. we drifted the same spot for the rest of the evening and picked up some nice flats on the lighter rods.

easy, none of the angling boats operateing out of dungarvan or helvic ever get rays/flats, if they do its a fluke , its only one small area that we get them around, i have had plaice to 6lb.+ there, took a lot of lookin to find it, the depth drops off from about 30/40 ft. into 70/80ft., we fish in a 16ft. open boat its got nothing but an engin, no electrics/ect. it conked out last week, we had to call the lifeboat(tommy rang em  ) had got it running again before they arrived, started it with a push :) they still escorted us back up to dungarvan just in case. the next time we go there we will try for tope/hounds????????
