rod repair???

is there any one or where i could get a tip ring replaced on a century C3 LD in kerry?
i had my rods shipped to my parents house in cloghane/brandon and when they arrived one of the century's was damaged and to ship it back here and then back to cloghane would cost to much,i would be very greatful for any help :D :D

This is a simple thing to do yourself.

Gently heat the damaged tip-ring and then twist,which should see the damaged ring smothly slide off the rod-tip.

Most good tackle shops ( Landers in Tralee),carry a good stock of rings,finding the correct diameter shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Secure the new tip-ring in place with a small quantity of Araldite.

Your parents live in a lovely place!Two weeks ago-Bank Holiday Monday- I climbed Brandon Mountain with my other-half,having dug some lug and found a few peelers in the estuary beforehand.We enjoyed fantastic views from the summit of all the places I have fished over the years !

ps,,,,,,,,,,,,ye my parents back garden backs onto the estuary had some lovely mullet and sea trout whilst having a barbie :lol: :lol: :lol:
