Strangford Lough Co Down 12/6/08

#1 Post by cky »

me and bro-in-law

1hr from high water

bread

bubble float and mini rod

Mullet!!

went down to the lough last night around 9ish.
threw in a few bits of bread but didn't see any mullet.
walked out a bit further and 3rd cast after about 30secs seen a swirl and the bubble went under.
struck into my first mullet.
played it for about 10mins then beached it as no landing net with us.
went to remove the hook and it fell out,had a barbless one on!
weighed at 4lb2oz,photo'd it then released it and it swam away strongly.
happy days!
