Hi lads me and my dad were planning on heading out tonight with mackerel and squid to pick up a few fish, any one know any good spots on the northside of Dublin throwing up good fish?

howth lighthouse i hear throws up a few nice fish on a rising tide at dusk

Hi, I've fished a lot of that side with varying success. Depends where you are mate? The mouth of the Malahide estuary can be good at dawn and dusk on a rising tide. Casting relatively short distances as the tide covers the lower part of the beach to your right. Also just over the lip of the channel. Don't bother too much bottom fishing the channel itself, it's full of crabs :( and they will strip your bait. Also, the beach at Rush, further down towards the outflow of the stream will be nice on occasion (North Beach). PM me and I'll let you know another spot or 2.
Fish 2009; Whiting, Dab, Pollock, Short Spined Sea Scorpion, Flounder, Ballan Wrasse, Bass, Blennie, Tompot Blennie, Coalfish.
