Photo Sharing Group

#1 Post by countryjimbo »

Hi,

I know there were photo comps here in the past and to try and restart these I've created a group in flickr for SAI members. This group is by invite only and you'll need a flickr account which is free, click here to create an account.

When you have a flickr account post your flickr name here and I'll add you to the group. You can start adding photos straight away. Once we have people in the group we can look at restarting the photo comps.

It would probably be better if we could have a prize for the comps, anyone got any ideas or contacts?

To post a photo from flickr inline in a SAI post use the following
(I added spaces inside the [] brackets so that they would be visible here, remove the spaces when using these samples)

1) In flickr choose "All Sizes" on the photo, select the size you want, medium is best
2) Get the code from "Grab the photo's URL:"

3) To post the image use this
[ IMG ]http://image jpg here.jpg[ /IMG ]

OR

4) To post a link back to the photo in flickr use this
[ url ]http://link in here[ /url ]

OR

5) Both can be combined like this, giving an image that's also a link.
[ URL =http://link in here][ IMG ]http://image jpg here.jpg[ /IMG ][ /URL ]

The samples using one of my photos (remove the spaces to see them working)

Normally you'll only need to do steps 1 - 3, the others are just additional options.

If anyone has further ideas on this please let me know.

Thanks,
James.

If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.

Hi Lads,

I noticed that in order to add you to the group you need to have me listed as a contact or requested to join the group. You should have flickr mail which has an option of adding me (Jim_shoot) as a contact, if you do this I'll be able to add you to the group.

So far the group members are:
Bradan99
Jack01986
Kissmy wrasse (who's posted the first picture, thanks :D )
mix_no_1

Others check your flickr mail!
