The winner of the 2008 UPC Open Gold Boat was Liam O'Connor of Culdaff SAC. Liam seems to be on a run as he also won the 2007 Closed Gold Medal Boat and the Ulster Closed Gold Medal Shore.
The Open Gold was held in conjunction with the Lough Swilly SAA Whitefish Festival on Sat 31st May & Sun 1st June. The Gold Medal was fished on the Saturday.
