Anyone see Lidl are selling Kyaks from Thursday.
I was wondering if anyone knew are they any good. They seem to be really good value.

For sea fishing I would want a dinghy, but a kayak is an interesting alternative inshore for the experienced.
On the other hand if you're thinking of going afloat in freshwater you would probably be much better off in a float tube.
Something like one of these:Float Tubes in Irish Loughs

Hi TubeNfish
I may have to get one of them float tube thingys,
I used do a bit of Lifeguarding on the beaches in my misspent youth and we had access to open top Kyaks but the only fishing we ever did from them was hand lining for a few mackeral. They were really stable and and almost impossible to capsize. They were a lot more expensive then the one advertised in Lidl but I often thought the would have been great for Bass and Pollock hunting.

Life is always getting in the way of my fishing....

Kyaks
Whilst out Tope fishing on Lough Swilly , I spotted 2 guys fishing from
Kyaks . There was a rod up at each side of the Kwak.
I don't know what would have happened if they hooked into a fish , they
would probably be towed around at speed !
