Any guesstimates on the weight of this huss?.

Hi everyone, my wife caught this huss at Valentia and my scales had packed in. Can you give me an idea of its weight, and stop the earache i get every time she looks at the photo (up on the kitchen wall). Thanks a lot guys.

i'd say about 10ish
shore species 2008(25):dogfish(3.1lbs), bull huss (12lb 2oz), bass, shore rockling, coalie, whiting, pollack, conger (22.4lbs),flounder, thick lipped mullet (4.8lbs),turbot,ling (11.2lbs),ballan wrasse(4.5lbs), cuckoo wrasse, pouting, poor cod, cod (9.5lbs), dab, 3 bearded rockling, long spined scorpion fish, corkwing wrasse, plaice, trigger fish, sea trout, garfish

i would agree with steve, and put it between 10-12lb, fair play to her 8) btw i think you will have to catch something bigger to get peace :lol:

First thoughts, without seeing what the other lads had said, was 12 pounds.

Fair to say it's a double figure Huss, anyway. :)

Thanks everyone, she is well happy now that she knows she has trashed my pb, thats untill september when we are back and i will really be going for it. :D
