Snap goes another rod....
:( Was out in wicklow the other day when I felt I had a bite with a touch of panic and excitement of hauling in a big one ....Snap was the sound I got ...and the fish prob some kelp or that crab basket I always seem to get stuck in them....
So i'm in the market for a new rod but funds a low have about 150 euro to spend I will need something strong(hard to break) and would love to cast 200 yards or more with fixed reel...
Anyone got any ideas..
Or should I save a little more money... Steve.

The Daiwa Sandstorm looks good I might go for that ..but would like a 3 piece handy for traveling to the places i like to go...
What about the other names.. zipplex, conoflex, primo synchro, shakespeare, shimano.....Which of these are worth a look....If I pick an expensive brand am I sure to get a good rod. :?:
Thanks for the help,
Steve...

IMO all those rods are not 200yd+ rods, even "if" you are!
and thats without added weight of bait!!! Ive heard of lots of them breaking/snaping inc sandstorms/supercasts/longbeams, best save your few bob and get a zziplex even the lower end rods are 10 times the rod the others are. Just my 2cents
