Tide:dropping

Weather:cloudy

Bait:Maack and sandeel

Rigs:various

Report:spent an hour at Waterfoot pier wothout a bite. 2 other guys there caught nothing either. At one stage I saw a huge tail come out of the water and cast in that direction only to see an otter come to the surface and lie on his back while munching on a fish. At least he was catching. First time i ever saw one in the wild. Should have had the camera with me.

from my own experience I found that waterfoot pier produces the goods 2 hours before high tide up. I found that rag and lug get some good results.

Thanks for the tip Roundourway.

Fished blue pool portrush this afternoon and caught a dogfish and nice coalie of around 2lbs. Saw another guy catch a reasonable pollock. All to baits, feathers and lures did not seem to work.

I have very rarely fished the blue pool as its a bit of a steam from belfast. Hopefully get a wee shot at it sometime soon. Great result in picking up a nice doggie and coalie
