Tried to post a report with last post but obviously i done something wrong!

Anyway, i arrived at the mark at low water, set up and baited with squid tipped with mackerel. I cast out and got a bite within 20 minutes, a small ray. This is how the session continued, a bite every 20 minutes!!

Three ray were 4 lbs or bigger, two about 2 - 3 lbs and one very small. Every time i cast out my bait, i tried for wrasse in the margins but kept having to reel in due to the frequency of the bite on my beach caster!

Evidently the freeze dried rag worm caught me one small wrasse, but the frozen peeler proved no good. I think the rag may be a good bait given a chance!

Was surprised to reel in after another knock to find a 1 - 2 lbs pollack had taken my static squid/mackerel bait, which i had cast onto the sand!!

All in all, i had a great session, the best I've ever had in Ireland!!

Hello Joey,
You're getting a great return from your visits home, I suppose you managed a visit to Clifden/Ballyconneely some evening in between :D :D

Nice going, with a bit of variety too.
Good results over a 3 hour session.

Thanks lads, yes blackiemc i had to visit the relatives down ballyconeely way! My parents were over to, so had dinner with them! ( not fish though). But i was staying with the wife in her place, Rossaveal, where the fishing is poor in comparison!
