People: me, kids, petekd

Duration: 19.00-20.30

Tide: HW around 8 I think

Weather: slight breeze

Bait:

Rigs: feathers all the way

Results: mackerel and pollack

Report: Headed out for a quick mackerel drop in advance of the boat comp in Dunmore East Saturday, just to make sure we had some 'fresh' mack for it. Bit worried with the wind forecast that we might not get any out there.
Drifiting near the Sovereign Islands, sporadic pockets of mackerel was the order of the day, hitting one or two then a wait or a steam off to another point and the same thing happening. If we dropped down to the bottom, we were getting pollack. Not as many macks as we'd like, but enough and I managed to fulfill my mack orders for my fish loving friends...
Saw a porpoise, picked up some more macks close to shore on the way back in to Oysterhaven, so I'd say good chance of catching them from the shore down that way now.
Pleaseant out, little swell, but not too bad and the kids enjoyed it.
