Waterfoot Harbour 16/05/2008

People Me and Paul

Duration 8.30pm till 2.40a,

Weather Mild and Calm

Tide High Tide 9.30pm

Bait Rag, Mack squid and sand eels

Results Me 3 Dabs, 2 Flounder, 6 Coalies and 3 Dogies

Paul 4 Dabs 3 Flounder 7 Coalies and 4 Dogies

Report When we arrived 3 people where already on the pier and catching coalies as soon as we set up Paul was straight in with 2 Dabs and had 4 fish before i even caught 1. :oops: After high tide the Coal fish started to bite then just before midnight things seemed to go quiet Dave who had been on the Pier before we arrived was at 15 fish caught and was thinking of heading home after a sucessfull night when a way went the tip of the rod and in came a Thornback Ray so he stayed for another hour durring which time the doggies came on the bite I caught 2 on sand eels and the other on lug Paul caught his on Squid and Rag

sounded like a really good session there fella, fairly knocked a couple of species off the list and a thornie raymond as well. well done

what a nights fishing 8) good to see the harbour is starting to fish well again. will get a race up some night soon to give it a go. night tends to be the best option to avoid the mack bashers :wink:

well lads hows things? i was up there fishing with you both that night ( its dave..fella with the silver jeep ) been up a few times since but never had the same type of luck, heard of a few rays caught since i got the thornie, but i've been landing the odd flounder
some times catching crabs is a good thing.........or is it...........?

09 so far--codling coalies plaice flounder turbot 3&5 bearded rockling doggies whitting shanny and a [color=#FF0000]5lb [/color]huss thornback ray squid starfish mackeral pollack corkwing wrasse ballan wrasse [color=#FF0000]5lb 6oz [/color]conger
