There are a few places

On 10 May, there were 10 mackerel caught at Clogherhead the 90 mins or so I was there (unfortunately not me), but i caught a bunch of small pollack - not a whole lot of fight but great when there's nothing else. I don't know if anyone is catching macks regularly, but they're definitely around.

Another possible site is the beach at Port for bass - perhaps a little early, but you never know. You can also dig plenty of lug there.

It's closed season for bass now, so don't bother them!
