People:me & Donagh

Duration:10:00-14:00

Tide:lw at 11:30

Weather:moderate easterly not too cold

Bait:mackerel & squid

Rigs:pennell clipped 2/0,3/0,4/0

Results:5 thornies to 4lbs

Report:just a quick report on my weekends fishing (well sea fishing anyway) Arived at the mark and was fishing by 10, Donagh arrived shortly after me. I had a small ray on the first cast..so hopes were high..well i spent the next 2 1/2 hours missing bite after bite(as did donagh) and i couldnt figure out why...then about an hour after LW my luck changed and i managed 3 fish in a row by striking the bites as soon as i saw them and 1 more not long after that...should have been happy with the fishing but still sickened at all those missed bites..all the other were lightly lip hooked by the way maybe they were a bit picky with feeding that day hence the missed runs???

No pics this time as i was too lazy to take em!! Donagh has one or two somewhere i think..

Very nice session. :D

Interesting that you missed those bites. Had the same thing happen on the same night, further up the coast. :?

Not the typical ray behaviour I'd expect. :o
