People: me, jordan and andrew

Duration: 5pm-12.30am

Tide: low to high

Weather: glorious and dead calm

Bait: rag,mack and baby squid

Rigs: 2 and 3 hook flappers

Results: me - 2 coalfish, 3 whiting and a shore rockling
jordan - 2 ballen wrasse and a pouting
andrew - 2 pollack, 2 shore rockling 1 coalfish and a 3
bearded rockling

Report: we arrived around 5pm and got set up and cast out. jordan was straight into a ballen wrasse taken on rag. i had no sooner got him baited up again and cast him out and would you believe it he was into another ballen wrasse. considering he had never caught one before he was making up for lost time  . an hour or so passed and i was into a coalfish and andrew was into a pollack around half a pound. then the light started to fade and there was an hour or so of constant bites followed by a dose of wee pollack and whiting and the usual assortment of rockling. we rounded the session off around midnight and andrew thought he was snagged tight to the bottom so asked me to free it up. to my suprise i found out that he was'nt snagged at all, as i wound the line in a great big 2lb 3oz lobster appeared up from the depths  and he had the eye of the hook sticking out of his mouth. not only did he munch the bait he also swallowed the hook. just goes to show you never know what your gonna get

If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.

Alan,

Nice bit of fishing. Sounds like you all did very well. Interesting one with the Lobster and congradulations to Jordan on the First and Second Wrasse. Hope the were no annoyances down this time.
