Waterfoot Beach Co.Antrim

#1 Post by dgp140 »

People: Me

Duration: 7.30pm- 9.30pm

Tide:

Weather: Lovely

Bait: Rag/Mack

Rigs: 2 hook flappers

Results: 1 Flounder

Report: I saw lots of guys fishing on the the drive up at Carnlough, Garron Point and The Ledges so I ended up at Waterfoot Beach. 1 other guy at Waterfoot Beach and set up next to him. The weed then started and made fishing almost impossible. It was taking 15 mins to take all the weed off the line after every cast! Thanks to the guy who was fishing next to me for helping on one occasion, I'm sure I would still be there now taking the stuff off my line. It was really frustrating. Gave it up as a bad job after a couple of hours, I noticed the Pier at Waterfoot was packed before I left and on the drive home all the guys I saw fishing on the way up had gone. High Tide was around 10.45pm so I wondered if the weed problem was more widespread and everyone had gone to the pier.
