People: myself and eric

Duration: 9.45 - 12 midnight

Tide: turn and ebb

Weather: windy large enough swell

Bait: bad bluey, blacks, frozen mack, sandeel

Rigs: me 3 hook flapper, pulley, eric all sorts of contraptions!

Results: me 6 whiting, eric 2 dogs 9 whiting

Report: had bait and transport and decided on an impromptu session - someone had to get a headlight so we didnt get going for about an hour!

decided not to go to far in the end - sea was far rougher than i was expecting

whiting were taking the bluey no prob and erics mack and sandeel

eric had a couple of pulls and got a dog

another missed one or two - then more whiting

then another dog for him

few more whiting - no chance of a flat as the whiting were on it fast

fair play to eric on the dogs and numbers

all the same id say i had the biggest whiting

good craic was tired and headed home - another blank averted - but lost the anti-reverse wind on my reel - heres to more awkward angling

rotten blueys are always far superior to " not thrown up on the rocks by the swell, but actually left behind by another angler " sandeel

Had you 2 lost my number :?: :?: :?:

Or just too scared of the competition

Welldone on the quanity, if not the quality, of the fish.

I've been there 3 times this last 4/5 weeks without a single whiting and plenty of flats, strange that  :?

Where in Greystones did ya fish :?:

the whiting came on with the darkness as they did the last time i was there

its not too clean especially as you go inwards in the bay - 30 yards out or so and your on sand no problem

main thing is getting gear up rocks, weed and gulleys at the end of the retrieve

if your casting back into the bay you are going to need rotten bottoms and single hooks as the weed is very healthy
