Report: After my recent disappointing run of blanks, Steve kindly offered to restore my faith in West coast fishing. Arrived at the mark around 15.30 to be met by a truly amazing view. The sun was out and Little Killary was showing itself off in spectacular fashion. After pausing for a moment to pick my chin up off the ground, we started to get set up. With two rods in the water we set up a second pair of rods. After some fine tuning of my casting technique (much obliged Steve) resulting in alot more distance the second rods went out. Steve was in first with a doggie and duly pointed out "well i haven't blanked anyway" now really under pressure i landed a doggie also relief blank hodoo broken. Next up was a small thornie which i was happy with untill it drew a "teabag" response from Steve. Having told my "teabag" thornie on his return to go down and tell his big brother to sample the smorgas board we were offerring, i returned to rebait. Steve was in next with another doggie, we were just about to part take of some refreshments when one of my rods got a little knock and then bang jumped upwards and started heading for the water. Thankfully Steve was standing beside it and grabbed hold of it. After some pumping and winding a decent thornie of 40cm came up from the depths. I was estatic and turned around to see Steve winding into something that looked pretty good also, up for the depths comes another 40cm thornie with a nice brace of thornie's on display we took advantage and got a some photos. Another couple of doggies for myself and 1 for Steve were the final few caught (although there were a few missed fish too) just as the sun was setting over this magnificent landscape. We packed up and headed for home stopping in Oughterard for pizza (which Steve had rightly earned for all the pointers). So on we went me full of a renewed faith in West coast fishing and Steve full of pizza. Great days fishing thanks again Steve.

'teabag' doesnt begin to describe the thornie you caught, 'glorified postage stamp' would have fitted better
good to get out to that spot again, and not draw a blank.
there were a few problems casting in the beginning but after a few pointers from me saltydog was casting twice as far  (you forgot to mention that bit   )
perfect weather for fishing there too, i reckon if we stayed a couple of hours after the high we would have a few more to show, but i didnt want to get your ego up too high
fair play on catchin, i told you i'd get you some fish :D
as for being full from the pizza, yummie, but it wasnt as full as my ear got when i got home "what do you mean you have eaten? where's my dinner?"

Well done lads - good report. It is a lovely spot when the sun shines. Good photos too. Must get up there again.
