People: me, petekd, Gary

Duration: 21.30 - 00.20

Tide: lw and rising

Weather: calm, clear

Bait: razor, crab, sandeel

Rigs: 1/0 pulley, 2 hook 2 flappers

Results: 1 dogfish to me

Report: Thanks to the weather report on wednesday, thinking there'd be a bit of surf down at our usual mark, we headed out in search of some fish. Got there to be greeted with calm conditions which is a no no down there - for bait fishing anyway. Pete joined us later and departed quickly, he knew wasn't much chance of a fish. I stayed on with Gary as he is returning to the angling fold after a break and I was hoping that we'd get him a fish. Was very quiet. I had two bites that came to nothing, Gary got one. About 2hrs after LW I got the doggie, about 50yds out to crab and that was it for the night. He enjoyed it anyway and wants to come out more, so wasn't a total disaster....

Really need a webcam set up on that beach...... You did alright to manage a fish to be honest, it didnt look good at all. Hopefully it will freshen up over the weekend.
Fluff chucking is the new black..... Rampant Wreckfish is a fly angler in denial :D
