Mate, I couldn't find the outlet either.
But if you walk up the path until you come to two wodden pillars about 40ftt apart. That's where I believe the outlet is supposed to be, but that's where I seen the bass. Much menacing looking than the Mullet.

Anthony2carr,

Thanks for that, gonna take a wander down there this afternoon on a scouting mission

I hear there are great mullet around the hotwater outlet aswell as the bass, so defo worth a few hours with a line in if I can find the place.

I'll drop you a pm if I do locate it.

Tomtum,

Am I right in thinking then that as you get to the pier by car, just before you turn right onto the pier itself the outlet is infront of you. There is a round type structure in the water there and the road drops down almost like a slip road, would that be right? PM me if you dont wanna disclose your info, and it goes without saying it wil be kept confidential

Lads you have a few bass marks there.

The first one is inside the wall where the power station is, sit at the first building you see right at the start of the breakwater and cast out a few yards into the liffey side and you're on the first bass mark.

The second one is the white rock ( A rock that's painted white) a bit past the half moon swimming club halfway down the breakwater.

The third is just to fish to the open side down at the end by the lighthouse, had a schoolie there myself, but more popular is by the white rock, although you tend to see the older locals fishing by the first mark on the other side of the shelley banks.

Hope that helps.
2008 Species: Flounder, whiting, coal fish, Dogfish, rockling, dab.
