I'm also having problems Sean, but in the UK again. I'll get one of the guru's here onto it and let you know.
I think Irishbroadband take their IP transit connection form me.

Was having intermittant problems last week - but fine this week. Was in 5 mins ago and no issues. Maybe their site is having problems every now and then just as ours was some weeks ago.

My guru tells me that it looks like a network issue on the far end. We are getting connectivity "nearly" all the way. It might be a firewall issue in front of the easytide server. I will mail them with a trace Route and see what they come back with.

Good on yer Kev, It's strange I can access http://www.ukho.gov.uk/ but go to the easytide link and it's dead, I did try emailing them and just got back the following:

Thank you for your enquiry regarding EasyTide.

I have just used http://www.ukho.gov.uk/ and then been able to access EasyTide using the link with no problem. Our IT team have also advised that the link is currently working

EasyTide can be accessed via a variety of domains (.co.uk, .com, .net, etc) these have been moved to a new IP address to improve future service. The World Wide Web is made up of interconnecting servers each holding routing information pointing (resolving) web addresses to this IP address. When an IP address changes it can take time (a few days) for the www to update all its routing information to point your request in the correct direction.

Additional to this there may be the possibility that any links you have previously used to access EasyTide may now not work. Favourites, links within web pages, search engine results, locally cached information and firewalls may be incorrectly pointing or blocking your request causing it to fail.

Please try deleting your temporary internet files then type directly into your Internet Explorer address bar http://www.easytide.co.uk

If you are still having problems please take a screenshot of your error and send it to us so that we can look into it for you.

Apologies for any inconvenience the changes we have made may have caused you.
I hope you find this information of use but should you require further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

Tried all that to no avail,

Tried Irish broadband:

The problem seems to be with the MTU size on your end. Tried to use
DrTCP (http://www.dslreports.com/front/DRTCP021.exe) and change the MTU
size to 1400. After this, you need to restart the computer. If you are
using a router, the MTU size need to be changed on the settings on the
router, login inside it.

That didn't help neither, appreciate the help Kev
Cheers

Possibly a BGP routing issue at the Irish Internet Exchange (INEX)

Don't change yout MTU size Sean. I have tried a trace route from several PC's and also from http://www.dnsstuff.com The internet trace route is on a different network, so I'm not sure where to go.

I'm attached to a BGP router, so I know my internet connection is good.

I supplied them with both trace routes. They both fail in the UK somewhere.

I haven't had a mail back from them yet.

Thanks a million for all the help lads, I've still got the old faithful tide table, I just find the graph on easytide so handy, can see at a glance how it's looking, and I don't like having to give up on something with pc's, seems to make you more determined to crack it

Just noticed that I had connectivity the other day from my server as well. Looks like there was two problems there.
