Tide: low tide 10pm
Weather: Mild, calm
Bait: Sandeel

Fahan is in Co.Donegal. The rigs I personally use are pulley rigs with a fairly long snood length. I have also used clipped down rigs, but all my rigs consists of just one snood length.
Fahan has a powerful rip through it which requires fairly big weights. hopefully the rays will start to show up soon

No, Fanad is the headland at the top of the western shore of Lough Swilly. Fahan is where the marina is on the eastern shore, at the opposite end.
Fish the beach about 500-700 yards up to the right of the marina, just around where the bend in the shoreline starts. It's a bit hard to describe but you'll understand what I mean when you see it. Try to fish into the channel which runs parallel to the beach, low water is usually best.
You can't go wrong with plain mackeral on a pulley rig - a bit of bling can also bring you rays when others are blanking. Even add a big, bright muppet to your rig - about six inches above your bait.
They are already being caught, some decent ones too.

For a rough guife go to to http://www.easytide.co.uk and look for Rathmullan - it's pretty much the only spot on given on the easytide map in Lough Swilly. Fahan is directly opposite, so the tides will be the same.
