Faroes
Headin up to the Faroes for the Ireland match in June. Might chance my arm and cast a few lines from the shore up there. Heard there's plenty of coalies up there. Any one have any ideas about what gear to bring and how to bring rods on a plane etc?

I watched an angling program from Discovery Home & Leisure last year where a guy was fishing from the shore for flatties. I can't remember what bait he was using but he had very light gear, I believe it was only was only a carp rod with an appropriately small weight. Bearing in mind that you may not want to be carrying much kit he only had his rod/reel with a small container for bait and some weights in his pocket.
