People me and a mate

Duration:11am- 5pm

Tide:doest make much difference here

Weather:better than i thought it would be

Bait:plain lug

Rigs:3 hook flapper home made(1st one :D )

Results:BASS Plaice (I think) rockling




Report:

was meant to go to galway for the comp but the broter couldnt travel and i didnt fancy 8 hours in the car up and back so change of plans and headed to small beach in wicklow

spent the first hour in the car looking at the rain

finaly got the shelter up during a dry patch first cast out then scurry back under the shelter

peeked out to see tap tap then another tap tap then bang rod bends
next thing I see the flash of silver Oh s*** its a bass then it dissapears in the surf crap is it gone ............... no its still there

wahooo first bass of 2008

didnt care about the weather after that couple of plaice I think and a rockling.My mate blanked

cant wait to get out again now

nice one derek, 8) dont think your other catch is a plaice, it looks more like a flounder..but i could be wrong,...well done.
as ole rab c said " see me' see the sea' i love the sea me"
right i'am off for a swally!!!!!!! so were's the F***'n purse!!!!!!!

spent three weeks now searching for a bass around wicklow :x ,well done dereck, and nice flounder too,couldn't get one of those either :oops: :shock: hope to see you at the next comp :D
