Luxeon 3 watt 3led headlamp

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Make sure to get yourself some good 2700MaH batteries, maplins do some Uniross ones that aren't that expensive, I got a load of Sanyos cheap from Hong Kong. The performance batteries are really worth the investment.

Good point Eoin. try 7dayshop.com for the batteries plus a charger. I get a couple of sessions with the 2700mah batteries.

ok this headlight is 3watt led i dont recon so, i got one and my lenser 1watt led is brighter dont get me wrong the headlight is good for all fishing and i do use it quite a lot ,it has more of a flood beam than the lenser and the 3 ordinary led,s are fine for baiting up and rod watching but its definitley not top of the range for little cash ,still not bad value and an ok headlamp its ok on batteries to ,the lenser performs great on new batteries for 3or4 hours then fades a bit this one gives faily constant light then fades after 8 or so hours ,as for both telling u they give huge hours on a set of batteries dont bet your life on them carry a spare headlamp and two sets of batteries

roger thanx for your comments you say you have 1 of these ,but its like i said they are good value for the money i never said they were top of the range just a nice little lamp to be used for short sesions :!: i have a samalite for longer sessions which in my opinion are overpriced

I agree Roger. They are good for the cash, but they are not top of the range. I would rather one of this type than spending €150 ish on a silva S1..... The S1 is the dogs, but I get on fine with my headlight and the money saved would buy you a beach buddy and plenty of bait... I easily get two sessions out of my light on mixed settings. I tend to try keep away from using the luxeon LED all the time. I also keep a spare set of batteries as well.
