Something Different!

#1 Post by thirty »

Well Lads, just a few pics here of my friend Stephen trying a different form of fishing in Finland, no 14 foot beachcasters here!
I won't be complaining about a cold January night on the beach in Ireland anymore, that would be mild compared to this!
What do ye think? Anyone else tried this when away?

I'm shivering just looking at the pics, at least he is obviously well prepared for the elements. I see an ice auger there, any idea what thickness the ice is?

How big are the fish?

Presumably you can only catch a fish as big as your hole - so to speak!
Live out on the beautiful Beara Peninsula. Always willing to assist visiting anglers.

ah in all honesty, its not the size of your rod or the size of the hole, its what you dangle below that matters

Thank's thirty, never felt safe walking on frozen lakes, 50cm sounds OK. :)
