List of Fly caught fish...

It'd be interesting to build up a list of what anglers on this site have managed to catch on fly fishing gear from the coast of Ireland...

Over to ye guys...

Good question, Viper and I'm very interested in seeing what response you get.
In 2004, all I caught was the back of my head with a clouser - does that count? :? That was on the West coast but 2005 is going to be different as we're heading for Cork this year....

I'm thinking of giving it a go some day from Wicklow Pier (assuming there is space and no tourists). I reckon from there it would be possible to catch whiting, coalfish, pouting and cod, given that they appear right under your feet... wonder if a conger would grab a fly....

Mackeral, pollack, wrasse, poor-cod, whiting, ling and cod.

Think I hooked 2 conger, but the mono snapped just above hook.
