Went down to lennan pier for a few hours today, weather was rotten but fishing wasn't to bad, managed to get a few small turbot (4) and several flounder (3) all the fish fell to lug and mackerel, there was two young kittens running around the pier and they finished off the mackerel that i had left over. Just a quick word about the mackerel i got it at donegal prime fish in Derry and it was without a doubt the best frozen mackerel i've had from anywhere in a very long time, they even filleted it for me.

Right that's it where the feck is Leenan Pier I'd love to add a Turbot to the list the year even if it does mean driving 240 odd miles round trip.

Is it in the middle of no where, would I get away bringing the rest of the family for a couple of days.

Good fishing btw 8) .

nice fishing bigfisher, know what you mean about the mackerel mate. i have stoped buying them in the usual bait shops for they are very poor quality, the best is in Donegal catch in the industrial estate, one good large mackerel for a quid....
