People:myself

Duration: 12.45-15.15

Tide: HT at ~ 14.15

Weather: strong SE, bright spells

Bait: mack, squid

Rigs: 2 hook flapper, pat, freeline, running ledger, shad

Results: blank

Report: had bait left over and thought id hit the HT at lunchtime today

not much doing first 45mins until i saw a fish rising in the tea coloured water from the river chasing my mack flapper - let it lag there was no bite - reeled again - the fish followed it up again

mad contrast between the fish - pale white - poss sea trout - and the tea coloured water

2 - 2.5lb approx

had seemed to bite it but didnt hook up and just dropped it as it broke the water

tried the same area again for the next 2 hours, even spun in the same area - but no bites - lost 3 rigs

not much return for 3 sessions

:? - may have to go to blackhead or ballyreen for a bit of ego massage
