Malahide-Co Dublin-14/03/08

People:Me and my brother

Duration:2hours

Tide:high

Weather:very cloudy and rain at the end of the session

Bait:lures

Rigs:

Results:nothing




Report:Went spinning for a couple of hours at the end of work. Choose the mouth of the estuary... But nothing except a good show of ducks (widgeons) going out of the estuary.... I was hoping maybe for the bass of the season but it will be for the next time...

try the surf in front of the golf course at bettystown. i was walking my dog on the beach about 3 weeks back and watched a guy take a bass on sandeel. cant wait until i'm back down in a couple of weeks time, mabey this time i'll get to wet a line :cry: last time i had car trouble and wasted the weekend waiting for a local mechanic to replace my alternator :evil:

hi aurelien, i think its still jus a little early 4 bass in malahide, ill be heading over dat way round the end of month and if u wan 2 meet up ill show u were 2 fish 4 the bars of silver, you shud be able 2 get sea trout der at mo but u hav 2 pick rite state of tide,

Wayne...

Whats the right tide/rigs/baits for sea trout in malahide, and where's the best spot to fish from.

Malahide is fairly local for me so any advice would be most welcome.

hya mate new to both fshing and internet just trying 2 find out if anyne has fished off the rocks at portrane i saw it last week while on a drive andit looked ok. any idea. cheers eugene

the rocks at portrane would be good for bass and flounder and the estuary down the burrow is good 4 bass and mullet. :D :D :D

2011: flounder, dab, 5 bearded rockling, whiting, dogfish, codling, starry smoothound, common smoothound, bass, bull huss ...

2012: dogfish, codling, starry smoothound (PB), bass, common smoothound (PB)...
