Bait collecting

#1 Post by steverbyrne »

Went out to collect bait today in sandymount to give it a try and I have to say it went pretty well.....

Collected 30 to 40 lug 2 rag worm and 2 Maddie's in about an hour...but I have to say its hard work, only for we bumped into a pro collecting them we might not have been quite so successful...

Digging them out there about a foot down.

this works for me now right,
get a shorter pike with a T shaped handle. without getting into the techniqualities of the issue it just lot handier. i'm bang on 6ft also, and my fork only 4ft'ish in total.
but come ere, your back'l still get broken cause all the leaning over.
enjoy,
hugh

think i saw 2 of you digging in the middle of nowhere and making your way over to the pigeon house direction

dug 80 lug in an hour myself but all of this rain put a dampener on my plans  ah well.
