North Antrim Coast

#1 Post by round_ourway »

After a long time in hibernation I am elected to go fishing for the first time since november. I am hopefully heading to ballycastle-benone in the hope of a few flatties. I am going to head up at first light, so i will primarly be fishing during the daylight hours and maybe into dusk.
Being out the loop for to long i have no idea what the fishing is like up that part of the country so any hints and tips would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to getting out and you never know i might even get a fish for my efforts. thanks in advance

have heard ballycastle beach produced a nine-pound sea-trout , night-
session, how true that is, god only knows, benone still producing a few
good sized flouders, and the very odd bass. also a few sea-trout being
taken mostly on macerel-strip, still well worth a throw.

regards steve.
