lads if you are looking for a cheap silva headlamp check out pack your bags . com i got one of the l3 models which has a 22m beam for 30 sterling with postage, cant go wrong for that. :lol:

have this as my back up lamp, 35 euro for a 1 watt led, takes 3 aaa batteries
fantastic lamp, 45 hours on full power :shock:

You can get the Princetontec Apex 3w delivered from the states for just a little bit more than that, not suggesting it's not a good deal, but there are equivalents out there.

I got mine recently off of ebay put some 2700mah batteries into it and despite an initial problem with the higher capacity batteries fitting correctly, I've had it running on full beam with new batteries up to almost 5 hours.
The batteries are still being run in and I'm cycling them a few times, the life will go up to about 5 hours on high beam before flashing a warning light and switching down about an hour later to the lower power.
