People: me, petekd
Duration: 22:00 - 00:30
Tide: lw 21:30ish
Weather: clear, calm
Bait: lug, crab
Rigs: 2 and 3 hook flappers, 1 hook clipdowns
Results: 2 five bearded rockling to me, 2 flounder, 1 coalie to Pete
Report: Still no bass showing at our favourite mark. As Pete put it, enough action to keep us interested and at least not plaugued by coalies.
Pretty calm conditions, plenty of crab activity, bit of weed in the water, but not too bad. Rockling at distance to lug. Not sure how far Pete was fishing to, but he was getting more bites than me.
Never caught a 5 bearded until this year, and now I can't seem to catch anything else!
The bait bandit fox was around again and enjoyed a gourmet's delight of mackerel.
Rounded off the session with some practice casts on Pete's new zippy.

Aye, just enough action to keep you interested and not enough to interrupt the relaxation.... :D That fox gets braver on every visit, Ill be hand feeding that fella by the end of the year!
Both flounder at about 100 yards and both measured exactly 25cms, the last one had funny grey lines on his back which was odd. Had a couple of bites to a whole crab wanged out on a pennel rig as far as possible, looked like a doggie to me but no hook up so will have to wonder. Coalie came in at 35cms. All my fish to lug tipped off with crab legs.
Would have thought there would at least have been some semblance of a ground swell remaining from the weekend battering but apparently not, virtually mirror calm. Ye wont get bass in that on this beach.
