benone beach

has anyone ever fished benone beach in june and if so was the fishing any good. what fish are likely to be caught

hey..benone will produce some good flounder and turbot with the odd chance of a bass or even a mullet :shock:
best bait would be rag tipped with makeral or lug tipped with makeral.

is it still grey rainy and cold on benone in june?! :lol: never seen it any other way!

say it's great in reasonable weather. i'll never forget the kid with the turbot flounder double in the tackleshop there!

guys you have to remember its ireland where in and it does rain.as for fishing benone can be very hit or miss with flounder ,turbet ,dogfish and bass the main species.you could be on a spot and catch a dozen fish and ten yards away a guy could be getting not even a bite,i know i fished it for years with the same results .large flounder can be caught with in 20 yards from shore i have seen ones of 3lb. being caught by junior anglers .
