recently bought a penn surfmaster 850 could any body recommend a rod to suit this reel :? still tryin to get the hang of my multi ,bet i hold the world record for birdies and crack offs :oops:

How ya Legend, don't give up on the Multi, a bit of fine tuning is all that's required to keep the Birdies at bay!
All you need is a bit of advice on how to use it properly, who are you near? I'm sure someone can set you right.
Any fixed spool rung rod should be fine, what kind of fishing do you do?

if you ever want to meet up in wicklow town i could set u on the right track with casting a multiplier iam no expert but i dont get many birds nests or crack offs. pm me would be glad to help!

i bought a surfmaster 850 just before christmas and got a diawa sandstorm 12ft to go with it and have found it to be a great match. check e-bay for gear i got mine for less than half price brand new.
some times catching crabs is a good thing.........or is it...........?
