abu question?

got one of the new 6500 mag elites the weekend (160 euro aswel which wasnt bad). It has the new shape spool, star drag part and all the other little changes, but its green? I thought the new 6500 mag elite was only available in the gunmetal colour or the premium orange colour???

any thoughts???

Yes the new mag elites are gun metal, the premium orange one is slightly older, did you get it at the expo in swords?? if so was it the stall that had alot of abu,s in plain white boxes??

Just spoke to Abu, this one had me thinking too......this is what I've been told......Abu in there wisdom :lol: :lol: :lol: the Green MagElite has had some up-grades....but it will remain Green, one of the upgrades is the new shape spool.

The one with the gunmetal grey sideplates on brass should not be called a MagElite, it should be called the 6500 Premium Mag.....this reel and the 5500 Premium Mag are only to be sold by Premier Abu Dealers....thats why its called what its called..... :roll: :lol: :lol: :lol:

so what i got was a "facelift" green elite??? thats ok i thought the lads in the shop changed the spool and things themselves..which would be a strange thing to do,either that or it was some fake or something!! Is it mechanically identical to the "premium" so?? (bar the handle and colours)

got it in southside in dublin btw
