bright and robust headlamp

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

bright and robust headlamp

#1 Post by beachbuddy »

Just looking for advice on a quality robust and BRIGHT headlamp.Basically i dont like fishing alone in the dark  :  .I've tried a few headlamps down through the years but none really that bright.I was thinking about the silva range or even the tiga sl10,basically something that will stand the test of time and gives good light, any ideas wecome also i forgt to mention that i use it to spot bites rather than tip lights so it would need to have a good burn time.Any ideas or recommendations wecome.
Thanks in advance.

Silva L1.. cant recommend it enough, not only does it have battery pack on head strap for 4XAA but also a belt pack as backup using 4X C batteries..

3 levels of brightness, with the lowest level matching most led headlights..

Cheers for the replies,i've been checking out the silva range and they definately seem to be the business.I'll more than likely be geting one in the next few weeks providing theres nothing better out there which there doesn't seem to be.Now all i have to do is tell the mrs thats what i want for the birthday instead of a jumper.
Tight lines and thanks.

Have a look at the princeton tec apex, you can get one from the states through ebay for about 45 euro delivered to your door. It's very good value at that money, they cost around the ninety euro if you're to buy them from the UK.
It's not as powerful as the Silva, but it's been very good for me so far.
