Results:plenty of whiting. ,a pouting,nd a coalie

got there jus before dark.and set up my first rod with a multplyer and braid, but then i noticed tat i had forgot all my congor traces.bolox.iv brought them for 3 sessions but never had a touch.so thought tonight wont be any different.so set up a 3 hook trace nd casted it close in.set up my second beach caster put my fixed spool nd a 3 hook trace nd cast it out.picked up the 1st rod nd winded in 2 whiting.baited up again cast out a nd picked up the second rod a ok sized pouting.the night went on like tis then i got a small bite nd i picked up the rod nd tightened the line nd started reelin in the bang a big lunge nd the rod was solid i tried applyin pressure then the tip bent down twice nd then the fish let go.i baited up hte 3 hook flapper nd casted it in again.nd phone my da to tell him to bring dwn some stell traces.jus as he answers my rod tip started to bounce as a little fish nibbles at the bait then bang the hole rod bends over springs back then the rod comes of the tripod nd bouces once nd into the water sits on the top for a second then goes under the opposite direction .i grb the second rod nd cast out to try to get it.didnt get it in ten casts then my rod went solid.nd i knew i had caught the rod i started windin in nd the was still sumting pulling at the other end.got the rod in nd the fish was on the other end but as i started to retrieve it it jus went slack fish gone.then a couple of lads came.i started to talk to them nd it turns out they know boycie.he told me his name bt i forget it.he is on tis site.then i cast out the 3 hook flapper and got a gud coalie and lots more whitin before i went home.im tryin to get on a night session conger fishing dwn the pier bt nobody wants to go tis week.so if any body wnts to go pm me.tnx gud session in the endtwo helpful anglers fishin helped me out with a torch to search for my rod.they were pike anglers jus trying their luck at sea fishing got loads of whitin.

Well done Danny, at least you got your rod back :roll: . You can use it to catch the conger the next time :wink: .

just heard there was a big seal nocking around tat was probaly the culprit.think the bite was too big to be a fish.as there was a lad nearly lost his rods last week on one
