Why are some things locked as I dont see the point in locking them in all fairness a competition notice locked...............

There was an incident quite a while back when someone posted up info on a competition, was purely info, then someone else replied giving heaps of abuse to the original poster. So was decided then to lock them as they are there for informational purposes. If you want further info like contact details so as get further info on the comp, then it would be best done by PM. Never know what "guest" might want to be a pest when they see your or other peoples home/mobile numbers on the site.

Cheers I never knew that carry on went on here better to be safe than sorry..........
