When I used to fish the Wexford coast 25 years ago it was the norm to take a nice fish home for supper - seems like theres not a fish left although it makes you work harder at your skills for sure. Probably down to the profiteers............. Never mind - they will all be in the Talbot on Tuesday..in one place together...heh heh

i've caught plenty of bass from this mark but i went up to the right around two hundred meters or so and just lobbed lug baits out. tht was during the summer and we also had runs of tope on on the beach also but didnt get them in. during the summer there are also smoothies. fished it around one month ago and the only fish caught were whithing dab and flounder.
Wish list for 2015: sword tail, black Molly, horny cobbler

I fished Glascarrig Point (just South of Rooney Point) on sunday evening.

Looked like a fantastic mark. Rocks given way to deep water with patches of kelp...

Had the finest of crab baits and only got one whiting and 1 rockling ...both foul-hooked !!
