People:me and big mick

Duration:4-9pm

Tide:rising :?:

Weather:dull and breezy

Bait:lug,mack,squid

Rigs:3 hook flapper

Results:2 whiting

Report:felt like a change from Bray Harbour so me and big mick decided to go to ennereilly (well i cajoled him into going with tales of big fish etc). It was our first time there so we were delighted to find it.There were 2 beach buddies set up already and some well kitted out guys who looked like they meant business. ,Its a good beach with good surf and coloured sea, it looked perfect. Big Mick doesnt like to walk too far as his trousers have a habit of falling down at the wrong time  , so 4 wheel drive was engaged and we drove onto the beach. I set up and waited for the inevitable big bite from a cod or some other large predator,,,,, and waited,,,,,,, and waited  . I'm still waiting unfortunately  .Big Mick had to sit at the waters edge as he hadnt too much line on his reel  . As darkness fell I tried out my new headlamp (thanks john1  ), which was great. I gave Big Mick the lantern as he looked so sad in the darkness trying to untangle knots ( i did tell him to get a light  ).It was quite breezy and hard to detect bites, if any, as all my bait was coming back untouched..Some others had arrived and set up and soon there were lights coming on up and down the beach. then in the light of the headlamp i spotted a bite which turned out to be a whiting. One more whiting and that was it  We had to leave at 9pm  At least i didnt blank (sorry Mick  ).

Big Mick doesnt use computers Okuma, dont worry about reeling him in, he reels me in all the time  , uses my bait, lights etc  . He usually outfishes me all the time and makes a lie of tactics, rigs etc, he just lashes anything out and catches  .were you the guy looking to buy cigarettes? Did you catch anything later?

Anyone notice that big Mick is the image of Bam Margera's dad Phil?

It's uncanny!
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.
