People:Donegal Bay Club Match
Duration:7pm to 10.30pm
Tide:High water around 6pm
Weather:F3 to 4 south east going F7 to 8 southerly, some showers
Bait:Lug and mackerel
Rigs:Various flappers
Results:Flounder, Poor Cod, Whiting, Sea Trout
Report:Second last leg of winter league fished in ideal surf conditions, plenty of fish about but so hard to actually get anything to meet the 25cm stick size....took 5 flounders all around the 22 to 24cm and for the life couldnt get one to hit the 25cm, drove mental  . Interestingly it was only by really dropping down in lead size that fish were found, static baits fishing much poorer. The larger flats definetly seem to have commenced the offshore spawning migration in this area anyhow.
Few pin whiting about too and picked up a Donegal bass(aka sea trout) on two lug/mackerel strip, slipped it back after unhooking, wasn't in great condition anyhow.
