Tippe Rocks, Belmullet, Mayo 6 Feb 08

#1 Post by kieran »

People: Myself and Bruce

Duration: 45 minutes, probably not even that long!

Tide: Big! low water up

Weather: Cold wind, 5-6, SE vering SW, wind chill significant

Bait: nil

Rigs: lures and shads

Results: blankety blank

Report: Looking for early season pollack and coalies but water was full of sediment and sea was very lumpy, could not fish properly. Did a recce of the area, looks very good ground for the summer, nice mix...

Cobwebs well and truly blown away off the spinning gear!
Kieran Hanrahan

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...

2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks
