Never fished it. If your in the "IN" in the area someone will tell you when the Seatrout are in. Then spinning can be worthwile early in the morning for a couple of hours. I've always found out about this event afterwards. If you want to give it a shot blind then End of April onwards should be worth a go.

hi mac
was going to fish it on sat is it worth a bash?any places you know of that fish well. my fellow fisherman said you have to go right up the swords end.but i was tinking of fishing off the grass near the fire st in malihide

lads your pissing against the wind fishing the estuary this time of year. there might be a few folunder in the channels, an early mullet and theres probably a few early trout running the ward but youd need to fish at first light in the channels to have a chance and youd be lucky to get one, and if you did you must release him.
