I'm not sure what you mean by that? I just wind them on with the last hook being stuck on the rim of the winder. Its usually the longer three hook flappers that i use them for....wind on the bottom snood first and then the start of the rig body until you reach that part of it that the middle snood reaches too....now wind the two together before continuing up to the top of the rig body...the top snood then is the last bit that goes on with the hook being stuck in the rim(the other hooks get stuck in the middle lay of the winder). Doddle to unwind this way, damn sight faster than having to mess around with rig wallets and untangle traces from pouches. I use the blue ones although for shorter rigs the green ones are nice and neat.

i only use these for storing my rigs and no other method.
for the boat i store 112 of them in a stenley double sided tool box. sounds alot but when you look at my setup i have one side for sandy bottom rigs...... flats, dogs, gurnards, whiting, smoothies, tope etc tied in varying strenghts and hook sizes for each species.
on the other side i have it set up for over reefs...... different length gilling gear, lenghts with a snap link on the end for quickly connecting shads, muppets, feathers, hokkais etc etc
on the shore i also use them for all my rigs. i got 2 pencil cases in a pound shop in newry for £1 each and i can keep 13 or the bigger winders in this. so i have 1 for all my clipped rigs, 1 for long snood flappers and a smaller one with 14 small winders in it for my short snood flappers
i prefer to keep them all full all the time that way i wont arrive on a venue or on a boat and suddenly realise that i dont have the rig i wanted
as for loading the winders......... i try to tie my rigs in such a way to allow me to clip the hook into the join of the snood/ rigbody below it and secure the bottom hook to the lead link. i then put a pin in the swivel or loop at the top. when i want to use the rig its just a case of remove the pin, allow the spool to untangle itself by holding the swivel and dropping the spool and if you did it right it should not tangle at all

if i was tying up rigs for during the year i would put them on the winders, then take 5 or so of the winders and wrap them up in cling film, to protect them from moisture, light ect........
then its easier to store the big rolls and be better organised
hope you make some sense of that
regards
