People:me

Duration:7am-12noon/

Tide:lw 7.15 approx

Weather:cold and windy

Bait:squid,mack, salted lug.

Rigs:2 hook flappers

Results:7x whiting, 5 x 3 or 5 ???? bearded rockling??

Report: Fished the harbour 7-12 noon. 1st cast resulted in a double of rockling and whiting. :) After that lots of crabs  , then more whiting (biggest 27 cm) and rockling. Very hard to detect bites with the strong wind. Larger whiting came near the end of the session so I was glad I waited that bit longer. :) Kept the two largest to eat (first time gutting and filleting   )Will post photos of the rockling , still not great at identifiying them

its a five bearded ,you can see 4 barbules on the snout and 1 on the chin .
If someone shows you a mark to fish, respect it and dont pass it of as one of your own, dont tell every man and his dog about it.
